...a magical destination through to the heart of Clayoquot Sound!
Hot Spring Cove lies 26 nautical miles up the coast from Tofino at Maquinna Provincial Park. For thousands of years, natural thermal hot springs have poured out of the rocks and spilled out on the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Northern Clayoquot Sound. Located at the mouth of a narrow peninsula, the springs are perched right at the water's edge overlooking the open ocean, and is accessible only by boat or plane. Boat tours are between 6-7 hours and available all year long.
Step on the boardwalk for a pleasant 30 minute stroll through old-growth rainforest to the Hot Springs, a pungent smell of sulphur beckons you as you approach the Cove. The geothermal hot springs cascade down a waterfall into half a dozen rocky pools. The delightful hot pools flow from one level to the next becoming gradually cooler as the fresh spring water is cooled by ocean swells.
