Our beach, ‘Birders Delight’ fronts on Browning Passage. It’s not littered with canvas chairs and sunbathers.  It’s a quiet, serene viewscape of gently rolling marsh lands. Four acres of Old Growth Rain Forest, when we say ’forest’ it doesn’t mean a few cultivated trees behind a fence. It means stately Cedar, Douglas Fir, Pine, Hemlock, many over 100 years old, several older, all madly twisting, reaching, literally sometimes, tying themselves in knots to bypass obstructing limbs, all in competition for the light; one of our Cedars is 1200 years old! Alsharo, is one of these old trees, except with a mask formed by nature, it is a spirit tree.
